Frequently asked questions
Is MDAC the same as a Malaysia visa?
No. MDAC is an arrival declaration. Check your visa, visa exemption or immigration permission separately.
Who is exempt from MDAC?
Singapore citizens, diplomatic and official passport holders, Malaysian permanent residents and long-term pass holders, and specified Brunei, Thailand and Indonesia document holders are exempt. Malaysian citizens do not need this foreign-visitor declaration.
Can I prepare my MDAC before the submission window opens?
Yes. You can prepare your details earlier. The government registration must be within the official three-day arrival window. Complete and review your information, and keep your trip details current while waiting for submission.
What does Same-day delivery mean?
Our delivery target is within 24 hours of your details being complete, paid, reviewed, authorised and eligible for submission within the official filing window. Early applications wait until that window opens. Delivery depends on government systems being available and registration confirmation being issued. This is not a visa decision or a guarantee of entry.
Do children need a separate declaration?
Each non-exempt child needs an individual MDAC record. A parent or guardian can provide the child’s details and the appropriate authority.
Can I use the same MDAC for another trip?
The declaration relates to the arrival you register. Prepare a new record for a later arrival where MDAC applies.
What should I do if my travel details change?
Review and correct your details before submission. If your MDAC is already registered, keep its reference and PIN and contact support before creating another declaration. A new trip normally needs a new record.
