Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Thailand Digital Arrival Card if I don’t need a visa?

Yes. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is separate from a visa.

Foreign travellers entering Thailand must complete the TDAC even if they can enter Thailand without a visa. It records information about you and your journey before you arrive.

Your visa or visa-exemption status determines whether you can travel to Thailand and how long you may stay. The TDAC does not replace those requirements.

How will I receive the Thailand Digital Arrival Card?

Our same-day delivery target is within 24 hours of your application being complete, paid, authorised and eligible for government submission. We’ll email your TDAC confirmation and QR code once issued. Delivery depends on government systems being available and confirmation being issued.

Keep it accessible on your phone or carry a printed copy when you travel.

How long can I stay in Thailand with a TDAC?

The TDAC does not determine how long you can stay in Thailand. It is an arrival declaration, not a visa or permission to remain in the country.

Your permitted stay depends on your passport, visa or visa-exemption status and the immigration rules that apply to your trip.

Check the current Thailand entry requirements that apply to you before travelling.

Can I prepare my TDAC before the submission window opens?

You can begin preparing your information before travel. Official submission must take place within the permitted arrival window. The timing guide explains the difference between starting your preparation and submitting the arrival declaration.

Do children and infants need a Thailand Digital Arrival Card?

Yes. Every traveller needs their own TDAC, including children and infants.

When applying for more than one person through eVisa Immigration, you can add the other travellers in your group and complete their details as part of the same order.

Each traveller will still have an individual TDAC submission.

Do I need a Thailand Digital Arrival Card if I’m only transiting through Thailand?

Not if you remain in the international transit area and do not pass through Thai immigration.

You will normally need a TDAC if you enter Thailand during your connection. This can include situations where you need to clear immigration to collect baggage and check in again for a separate onward flight.

If you’re unsure whether your connection requires immigration clearance, check the arrangements for your flights and baggage before travelling.

What happens if I make a mistake on my Thailand Digital Arrival Card?

Check your information carefully before your TDAC is submitted, particularly your:

  • name
  • passport number
  • nationality
  • date of birth
  • arrival date

Your personal details should match your passport exactly.

Some core identity details cannot be corrected after submission. If one of those details is wrong, you may need to submit a new TDAC.

When you apply with eVisa Immigration, we guide you through the required information and check the submission for inconsistencies before it is sent. You’ll still have the opportunity to review your details before authorising submission.

Can I reuse my Thailand Digital Arrival Card?

No. A TDAC is linked to a particular arrival in Thailand.

You need to complete a new TDAC for each new entry, whether you arrive by air, land or sea.

If you have an eVisa Immigration account, supported traveller details can be reused on future submissions so that you don’t need to enter the same information again. Always review saved information before submitting a new TDAC.

Why does eVisa Immigration charge a service fee if the Thailand Digital Arrival Card is free?

The Thai government does not charge a fee to submit the TDAC directly.

Our fee is for the optional eVisa Immigration service. It covers the services included with your order, such as the guided submission, passport data capture, information checks, submission handling, confirmation delivery and customer support.

You can also submit the TDAC yourself directly through the Thai government service without using eVisa Immigration.

eVisa Immigration is an independent private service and is not part of the Thai government.

Is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card the same as Thailand Pass?

No.

Thailand Pass was a separate travel-registration system used during the COVID-19 period and is no longer the system used for normal arrivals.

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is Thailand’s electronic arrival declaration for foreign travellers entering the country.

It does not replace any visa or other immigration permission you may need.

Includes any applicable government fees. Every available option is shown at checkout.
