Offshore Tourist stream
Australia Visitor visa 600
The Tourist stream of the Visitor visa (subclass 600) is for holidays and visits to family or friends. You must be outside Australia when you apply and when this offshore visa is decided.
Home Affairs decides whether to grant the visa, its length and its conditions. This page explains what to prepare. Applications through eVisa Immigration are not yet available for purchase.

This page covers holidays and family visits under the offshore Tourist stream. Business visits, sponsored family visits, the Frequent Traveller stream and applications made inside Australia have different requirements.
You must intend to visit temporarily and have enough funds for your stay and departure. Check the official eligibility rules if your circumstances are complicated or you have previous immigration issues.

Have your current passport, identity and contact details, travel plans and information about your circumstances ready. Evidence may include funds for the visit, your reason for travelling and your plans to return home.
The documents needed depend on your circumstances and any request from Home Affairs. Provide original documents and English translations when required. Follow the official checklist rather than assuming every document applies to you.
